The second edition of Gulf Photo Plus’ 2021 inaugural exhibition, The Disappearing Art Show curated by Salem AlSuwaidi, highlights emerging artists, collectives, and galleries in a bid to reignite a sustainable collecting practice in Alserkal. Intending to attract younger collectors and artists while disrupting exclusive and inaccessible art-selling notions, the exhibition is designed to democratise the practice of acquiring and collecting artworks to create a sustainable ecosystem within the neighbourhoods.
