StuDIYo Lab is the first design technology centre to open in the UAE, offering a wide range of workshops and skill-based courses using resistant materials. Recommended from the age of five years and above, StuDIYo Lab offers a range of exciting workshops for children, adults and families. During this year’s Quoz Arts Fest, the centre will be offering a number of workshops.

Workshop 1 - Woodworking
This is an exciting workshop for budding makers to familiarise themselves with the child-friendly woodworking machines and learn how to produce a functional product. Join to carve, cut, and create colourful products.

Workshop 2 - Woodturning
An exciting workshop for participants to learn the ergonomics and techniques behind woodturning. Participants will be guided and assisted in creating their own functional pens which they can customise and enhance with various colours and decorations.

Workshop 3 - Metal Casting
This workshop is a good introduction to the principles of casting; taking a solid material, pouring it as a liquid, and returning it to a solid again. Makers will learn to cast a pewter letter or shape of choice and create a personalised necklace or keychain.
