About the participant
Rust
Hany Manja, a Syrian musician and electronic music producer, and Petra Hawi, Lebanese musician and vocalist, collectively known as RUST, combine modern electronic beats with melody and poetry of Arabic heritage origins. Their body of work draws influence from the older generation of musical rebels, bridging the gap between legacy and modernity, all while contesting the traditional notions of Arab identity.
